5 I have seen another[a] misfortune[b] on the earth:[c]
It is an error a ruler makes.[d]
6 Fools[e] are placed in many positions of authority,[f]
while wealthy men sit in lowly positions.
7 I have seen slaves[g] on horseback
and princes walking on foot[h] like slaves.
